Legal Notice
Please read these terms carefully before using our website or engaging our services.
Last updated: 1 June 2025 · Effective date: 1 June 2025
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Wattana Law website at wattanalx.info ("Site") and the professional legal services provided by Wattana Law ("we," "us," or "the Firm") to clients ("you," "Client"). By accessing the Site or engaging our services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.
Use of this Site or engagement of the Firm's legal services constitutes your acceptance of these Terms in full. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please discontinue use of the Site and refrain from engaging our services.
These Terms should be read alongside our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, which are incorporated by reference.
Wattana Law provides family legal services in Thailand, including but not limited to:
A formal engagement is established only upon the execution of a written Engagement Letter signed by both parties, confirming the scope, fees, and terms specific to your matter. Nothing on this Site, and no preliminary correspondence, creates a lawyer–client relationship until such a letter is in place.
Our advice is given solely with reference to Thai law. We do not advise on the laws of any other jurisdiction. Where cross-border legal issues arise, we will advise you to seek additional guidance from a qualified lawyer in the relevant country.
Legal proceedings involve inherent uncertainty. While we work diligently on your behalf, we make no representation about the outcome of any matter. All opinions and assessments of likely results are professional judgements made in good faith, not commitments.
You agree to provide full, accurate, and timely information relevant to your matter. Withholding or misrepresenting material facts may affect the quality of our advice and could result in termination of the engagement without refund of fees already incurred.
Our published service fees are:
Fees are quoted in Thai Baht (THB) and are inclusive of standard professional fees unless otherwise stated in your Engagement Letter. Disbursements (court filing fees, government charges, certified translation costs, and similar out-of-pocket expenses) are charged in addition and will be itemised on invoices.
Unless your Engagement Letter specifies otherwise, fees are payable as follows:
We accept bank transfer to the Firm's designated account (details provided in your Engagement Letter). We do not accept cash for amounts exceeding ฿5,000. Payment by any other method is subject to prior written agreement.
Where invoiced amounts remain unpaid beyond the agreed due date, we reserve the right to suspend work on your matter until the account is brought up to date. We will notify you in writing before any suspension takes effect.
The Family Conversation Session fee is non-refundable once the session has taken place. For other services, fees paid for work already completed are non-refundable. Where work has not yet commenced, a refund of the deposit less any administrative costs incurred may be considered at the Firm's discretion.
We treat all information shared with us in the context of a legal engagement as strictly confidential. We will not disclose your information to third parties without your consent, except as required by law, court order, or professional regulatory obligation.
You agree to keep confidential any legal strategy, document drafts, and advice provided by the Firm during your engagement. You may, of course, share such materials with those directly involved in or affected by your matter.
Information submitted through the contact form on our Site is treated with the same care as formal correspondence. It will be used solely to respond to your enquiry and will not be shared with third parties except as described in our Privacy Policy.
Wattana Law operates in accordance with the rules and ethical standards of the Lawyers Council of Thailand. In the event of any conflict between these Terms and our professional obligations, our professional obligations take precedence.
We reserve the right to decline to act, or to cease acting, in any matter where proceeding would place us in breach of our professional duties, regardless of any prior commitment or fee arrangement.
This Site is provided for general information about Wattana Law and our services. You may browse, download, and print content for personal, non-commercial use. You must not reproduce, redistribute, or commercially exploit any content without our prior written consent.
Content published on this Site is for general informational purposes only. It does not constitute legal advice and should not be relied upon as a substitute for consultation with a qualified lawyer about your specific circumstances.
We take reasonable care to keep the information on this Site accurate and up to date. However, Thai law changes, and we cannot warrant that every page reflects the very latest position at all times. Please confirm current details with us directly before taking any action.

You agree not to use this Site in any manner that:
All content on this Site — including text, design, graphics, logos, and document templates — is the intellectual property of Wattana Law or its licensors and is protected under Thai and international copyright law.
Legal documents and correspondence produced for you during an engagement remain the property of Wattana Law until all outstanding fees have been paid in full, at which point ownership transfers to you. Our internal working documents, notes, and research remain our property at all times.
Our liability for any claim arising from our professional legal services is limited to the total fees paid by you for the specific matter to which the claim relates. This limitation does not apply to claims arising from fraud or gross negligence on our part.
To the extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for any direct or indirect loss arising from use of, or reliance on, information published on this Site. This includes loss arising from technical errors, unavailability of the Site, or inaccuracies in published content.
We are not responsible for the acts or omissions of courts, government agencies, opposing parties, or other third parties involved in or connected to your matter.
You may terminate your engagement with us at any time by written notice. Fees for work already completed and disbursements incurred remain payable. We will deliver to you all documents and materials to which you are entitled upon settlement of the account.
We may terminate the engagement by written notice if:
Where we terminate the engagement, we will provide sufficient notice to allow you to arrange alternative representation and will cooperate in any orderly handover.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Kingdom of Thailand. Any dispute arising from these Terms or an engagement with the Firm shall first be referred to good-faith negotiation between the parties.
If a dispute cannot be resolved through negotiation within 30 days, either party may refer the matter to the competent courts of Khon Kaen Province, to whose jurisdiction both parties irrevocably submit.
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in law, our services, or our practices. The revised Terms will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of the Site or services after such posting constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
For ongoing engagements, material changes to fee arrangements or scope will always be confirmed in a written variation to your Engagement Letter and require your express agreement.
